Retail store for womens and menswear for the fashion brand Closed in Amsterdam, arranged over two levels. The store design concept follows a bold and materially expressive approach, allowing contrasts, scale and surface treatments to define the character of the space.

Dark tiled floors with pronounced joint patterns, stainless steel elements and large recessed niches clad in brown marble create a strong visual rhythm throughout the store. Display elements and vitrines are conceived as sculptural objects rather than conventional fixtures, reinforcing the playful yet deliberate composition of the interior.

A fitting area is designed as a distinct element within the space, set apart through the use of aged wood and a contrasting material language. Accessories are positioned prominently on the upper level, contributing to a layered and dynamic store experience. Selected furniture pieces by Toogood complement the concept, adding to the tactile and object-like quality of the interior.

Rather than relying on a single defining gesture, the design embraces material complexity and intuitive composition, resulting in a retail environment with a strong and independent presence.
